Here are the steps we’ll be taking with you.

  • Signup for Etsy here. You will need: your address, phone number;  your bank routing number and account number, and a credit/debit card. If you need help signing up, let me know. Please record your email and password used to sign up. We will need it to build your ecommerce site. Record it on the checklist we’ll be giving you.  Don’t forget to confirm your email.
  • Once you have registered with Etsy, you can open your shop.  Have a descriptive name for your shop ready to go.
  • Getting Paid and Billing – you will need to have your address, birth date, bank info (routing & account number) plus a credit/debit card.
  • We’ll go ahead and build your shop based on our initial consultation, adding in language, currency and what best describes your shop.
  • You’ll need to gather your products and photographs of your products and other graphic media you plan to use on your ecommerce site. How many products/photographs will depend on which package deal you purchase.  You will be sending your photographs to us via Wetransfer.  This keeps the files from losing quality when transferred, so be sure to send your best quality photographs.  Ideally one with a white background and one that shows your product in action (a lifestyle photograph).  Please send two photographs per product.  You can purchase (Optional $) more, but two photographs per product are included with your package.
  • You will be able to check the progress of your shop anytime you would like just by signing in to it.  At any time,  we can schedule audio/video conference times together where we can go over live updates via screen sharing of your ecommerce site in progress.
  • Depending on which package you purchase, we could be setting up your home page (with a banner, motto, shop announcement, about section, shop logo, etc.), sections, products, shipping rates/templates, about page, shop policies and more.  You will hit the ground running with a fully loaded, turnkey shop!
  • Applications (Apps/plugins) to run your shop will be added based on our initial discussion
  • Google Analytics set up.
  • Facebook Pixel set up.
  • It is recommended that you download the Etsy App for your smartphone.

Approximate Base Cost for an Etsy Shop:

  • $0.20/listing
  • 5% transaction fee on a sold item
  • 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee (in the USA; differs per country)
