• Signup for Shopify here. This is for a free trial. (At the time of this writing, Shopify was offering a 3 months trial period, but it could be one week or one month. It changes.). After your free trial has ended, you will be paying monthly for using Shopify’s ecommerce platform. ($29/month for a basic account). You will need: your address, phone number; Social Security number (if in the USA), your bank routing number and account number, and a credit/debit card. If you need help signing up, let me know. Please record your email and password used to sign up. We will need it to build your ecommerce site. Record it on the checklist you’ll receive when you hire us to build your ecommerce site.
• Optional ($) You can purchase a domain name on the Shopify platform. <—-Check to see if it’s available.  It’s best to have a dot com address, and if you purchase through Shopify, it’s around $10 – $15/year. You don’t have to make that decision now. You can buy a domain name anytime.

• Pick a theme for your ecommerce site. There are plenty of really good free ones to get started. If you need help deciding, please get in touch with me and we can chat about what would work best for you at this time.  You can change your theme at any time.
• Optional ($) You can purchase a premium theme.

• Next, you’ll need to gather your products and photographs of your products and other graphic media you plan to use on your ecommerce site. How many products/photographs will depend on which package deal you purchase.  You will be sending your photographs to us via Wetransfer.  This keeps the files from losing quality when transferred, so be sure to send your best quality photographs.  Ideally one with a white background and one that shows your product in action (a lifestyle photograph).  Please send two photographs per product.  You can purchase (Optional $) more, but two photographs per product are included with your package.

Base Cost for A Shopify Store

• Shopify Basic costs $29 per month, with 2.9% + 30¢ per online transaction. 
• The main Shopify plan costs $79 per month, with 2.6% + 30¢ per transaction.
• Advanced Shopify costs $299 per month, with 2.4% + 30¢ per transaction.
